The Fukuoka International Marathon returns this year, starting and finishing at Heiwadai Track and Field Stadium (Heiwadai Rikujō Kyōgijō). The 42.195 km route runs through Ōhori Park, the city’s southwest, and the Kashi area. Known for its flat profile and fast times, it attracts elite runners from Japan and abroad. This edition also serves as a men’s selection race for the Aichi–Nagoya 2026 Asian Games and the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. Spectators can witness top athletes push a high pace from the early stages, feel the intensity of mid-race tactics after the turnaround, and experience the energetic roadside support—an atmosphere characteristic of Fukuoka’s winter marathon scene.
