Fukuoka City has launched the “Fukuoka Museum Week” project, centered around “International Museum Day” on May 18, with the aim of promoting the significant role museums play in our society. This special event spans nine days and offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy free admission, discounted fees, and special freebies at 19 museums across Fukuoka. In addition to the museum access, a variety of engaging events will take place at each venue during the week. These include talks, guided tours, lectures by renowned figures, and hands-on workshops, providing visitors with a more immersive and interactive museum experience. Don’t miss the chance to explore the rich cultural offerings of Fukuoka through the diverse array of museums participating in this exciting initiative.
