The Hakata Gion Yamakasa exhibition, which has taken place nearly annually since the inception of the museum, will be hosting its 22nd display this year. This exhibition focuses on the large fabrics known as “Manmaku” that are traditionally used in the Yamakasa festival. It will showcase these fabrics, stretched out in an outdoor setting, alongside 10 photos and artifacts that were actually utilized in previous iterations of the festival.
