Hakata Umakamon Fair is a recurring food event celebrating Fukuoka’s “umakamon” (delicious local specialties). Organized by the Fukuoka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, this product fair brings together 66 vendors, including 27 first-time exhibitors. From longtime local favorites and popular new items to event-exclusive treats, a wide selection of deli foods, bento, bread, and sweets showcases the best of Fukuoka’s food culture.
A limited-time “Iwataya Nagahama Shokudo” will also appear at the venue, presented by Akira Suisan from the Nagahama Fresh Fish Market and Uoriki from the Iwataya depachika, serving seafood bowls and bento. Other highlights include a special bread section featuring popular Fukuoka bakeries and sweets made with Amaou strawberries, offering seasonal local flavors. Focusing exclusively on Fukuoka-based shops, the event has a strong regional character. This edition also features hands-on programs such as a fish market auction experience (Mar 28) and drip coffee workshops by REC COFFEE (Mar 25 and 29).
