An open-air used book market gathers around 80 booths along the long approach to Hakozaki Shrine, creating a one-day “Book Way” leading toward the sea. Publicly selected vendors bring their own carefully chosen books, ranging from novels and picture books to art books and magazines.
Visitors can browse while chatting with stallholders, and join book-themed workshops such as silkscreen printing, memo pad making, and miniature bookmaking. Food booths will also be set up, offering bread from the popular bakery Pain Stock, onigiri, fish burgers and more. Spend the day strolling the shrine approach with a book in hand.
