Come enjoy thousands of beautiful ajisai (hydrangea)! This year’s festival promises 3,500 ajisai of approximately a 100 different kinds – a summer scene you definitely don’t want to miss! You can also get a ¥100 discount off your ¥300 ticket if you decide to visit the lily garden, which displays a total of 5,000 lilies of approximately 30 kinds. Other fun things to experience at this ajisai festival include two mini concerts; a string quartet performance held on Jun. 11 (Sat.) and 18 (Sun.) (11:00~ and 14:00~), and a flute ensemble performance on Jun. 12 (Sun.) and Jun. 19 (Sun.) (11:00~ and 14:00~). And if you have a sweet tooth, stop by the popular local bakery “Full Full”, which will be selling bread and other pastries. Finally, don’t forget to visit the neighboring Ekoin during the Bodaiju Festival on at 6/5 (Sun.) at 11:00; enjoy viewing bodaiju (linden) flowers for free!
