Hasami ware, known for its simple modern design suitable for everyday use, is popular for its community-driven approach to product creation. The annual spring pottery festival held in Hasami, the heartland of Hasami ware, takes place at the “Yakimono Park.” Around 150 stores, including manufacturers and kilns, participate, offering a wide range of ceramics from everyday items to traditional works at producer prices. Workshops such as pottery wheel experiences, casting, and painting are also held. A shuttle bus from the nearest JR “Arita” station to the venue operates every 30 minutes starting from 8:40 am (¥500 / with a pass, unlimited use for the day, free for high school students and younger).
