Succumbing to the Kyushu summer’s sweltering heat? For twelve days, come enjoy one-hundred-and-twenty kinds of ice cream from all over Japan, selected by Japan Icecream Mania Association, at Ice Cream Expo 2016! This is the first time the event will be held in Fukuoka, and it will feature ice cream in all colors, shapes, and sizes, including delicious ice cream daifuku (¥160), ice cream puffs (¥350), ice cream crème brûlée (¥460), and much more! The venue will be open from 12:00 until the ice cream runs out, so make sure to come early for the event’s original Häagen-Dazs sundae (¥1,000), expected to be a true delight. The first hundred people each day to post a picture about the event on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook with the hashtag “#あいぱく”, are treated with a free small ice cream– but make sure you show your post to the staff! Ice Cream Expo 2016 is also selling original products such as a limited number of three hundred cooler bags (one for ¥500), T-shirts (¥1,500), and Japan’s “fondly remembered ice cream” booklet (¥1,290).
