Iizuka Hina Matsuri is one of Japan’s biggest zashikibina (hina dolls arranged around a miniature festival scene)! The display theme is “Heian Dream”, inviting you into a picturesque Heian period tableau with the dolls dressed and arranged in scenes from ‘The Tale of Genji’. At Kaho Theater, visitors can enjoy cat doll exhibit olympic themed “Nekolympic 2020”. Don’t forget to check out the other exhibitions at Old Residence of Ito Denemon and Iizuka City Historical Museum too!
