A solo exhibition by Chihiro Miyata, a landscape painter depicting Itoshima, will be held at the “Kozai no Mori (former Nishihara Residence),” a historical building remaining in the Maebaru shopping street. 30 works, mostly new works, will be exhibited and sold in the solo exhibition named “Impressionist Exhibition,” which will be held annually from 2018. The nostalgic scenery depicted in his works, which are based on the nature of Itoshima and the light of nature, will give the viewers a sense of Itoshima’s character more than photographs.
