The Itoshima Arts Farm takes place in the nature-rich Nijomasue and Fukae regions of Itoshima, focusing on revitalizing the area through the celebration of art. Domestic and overseas artists will exhibit in a variety of mediums, including dance, painting and video. The “Arts Farm Marche” will be held at Masue Gonkuro Inari Shrine, where a kitchen car will be set up to sell snacks, sweets and drinks made from Itoshima ingredients. Organized by Studio Kura, which offers an artist-in-residence program in Itoshima, where artists from Japan and overseas stay and produce art. Last year’s event was not held due to the pandemic, but it’s on this year under the theme Human Scale -“from our human-sized selves to all the adjacent lands, artists unfold their own expression.” Access their website for more details.
