Discover a stunning collection of 154 Umeshu (plum wine) varieties, crafted by sake breweries across Japan, all under one roof at Hakata Station! While it’s true that umeshu can be made at home, this event offers a unique opportunity to explore an extensive range of expertly produced plum wines. This umeshu showcase is divided into eight categories: white liquor-based, authentic shochu-based, sake-based, brandy-based, citrus-based (featuring yuzu, lemon, and more), and the ever-popular nigori umeshu. With your admission fee, you’ll receive a special “ume sen” coin that allows you to taste these delightful beverages (16 ml per cup). You can also purchase bottles of sake, including rare umeshu varieties that are hard to find elsewhere.
