Traditional crafts that have been handed down from ancient times and add color to daily life can be found all over Japan. Renowned pottery from famous production regions, baskets woven from wild grape bark, Nambu ironware, and “tsuge-gushi” (boxwood combs) that have supported the beautiful hair of Japanese women are examples of these crafts. These works, created by master craftsmen who inherit traditional techniques and use carefully selected, excellent materials, are displayed and sold. Young artists who are drawing attention as challengers will also be present in the gallery on a daily basis.
