Producers bring their handmade products, such as seasonal vegetables produced by farmers near the Kafuri district of Itoshima, local fish dishes made by a fisherman’s wife, prepared foods and sauces, and popular local bakeries, and sell them in a farmer’s warehouse. The event is held on the third Wednesday of every month, with ten stalls in October. It’s fun to communicate with the producers about how to eat the best seasonal ingredients. A demonstration and tasting of stir-fried vegetables using oysters marinated in soy sauce koji, which will soon be in season, will begin at 2:00 pm.
