The eighth incarnation of this ceramic fair, which celebrates Karatsuyaki (a local style of ceramics which is over 400 years old), is centered around the theme ochoko (small sake cups). Discover the other ways ochoko can be used aside from sake drinking! Works by both master craftsmen and new talent will be available to view and buy. There will also be special events held by local standing bars (kaku uchi) and talks in which you can enjoy sipping sake together with the craftsmen. Don’t miss a demonstration of the Karatsu Kunchi festival on May 5 too.
