JR Kyushu will operate a special sake tourism train on Mar. 23. The train connects JR Hakata Station and Hizenhama Station in the Kashima area, where an annual sake event with barrel openings, sake tasting and stages of traditional performances are expected to attract many tourists and locals. Head to the venues by the train to avoid traffic and enjoy brewery hopping at six spots either by a free bus or by a chartered taxi (¥7,500/3 hrs, maximum 4 persons.) Limited 300 seats are available – so book early!
