The annual manga festival is held every winter with the theme of international cultural exchange through manga. The main program of this year’s festival, the seventh in the series, is “The Mysterious Journey of Taiwanese Manga History.” The exhibition will trace the history and transition of book rental shops in Taiwan and will present materials and videos that will help visitors decipher the manga culture in Taiwan today, including what kinds of manga have been read, distributed, and produced in Taiwan, as well as the similarities and differences between Taiwan and Japan.
