Kougei Expo is a three-day event which will feature seven crafts from Fukuoka Prefecture: Hakata-ori (textile), Hakata ningyo (doll), Kurume kasuri (fabric), Koishiwarayaki (ceramic), Yame Fukushima butsudan (Buddhist altar), Aganoyaki (ceramic), and Yame chochin (paper lantern) as well as a variety of traditional crafts from all over Japan. View the main exhibition at Marine Messe and join special bus tours for a chance to learn about these crafts up close at their birthplaces in Fukuoka Prefecture. With three one-day tour courses to choose from, we will visit studios and exhibition centers to learn and experience making these crafts, as well as try local food! The following conditions apply to all courses:
• Participation fee (lunch incl.): Adult ¥3,500, ES and under ¥2,000 (lunch set differs from adult’s)
