Sunday, Feb 23, at Seinan Gakuin University, Fukuoka. The event of the year for English teachers, with a wide range of presentations and displays of materials.
Find inspiration to power your classroom and connect with other teachers! Bringing together teachers of all ages, levels, and situations with presentations, workshops, and displays, the Kyushu Convention empowers teachers with new ideas and the spirit of community.
Dozens of presentations from authors, trainers, and local teachers run throughout the day, and attendees can choose any they wish to attend. Categories range from preschool to university teaching and school management while topics include games, music, textbooks, phonics, assessment, research projects, technology, child-centered learning, jobs, and more.
Between presentations, visit the displays from major and independent publishers providing the latest in textbooks, readers, cards, games, music, and other materials filling the venue hall. There’s even a space to chat with fellow teachers over breakfast and lunch in the café area.
Attendees will include those yet to begin teaching, established educators, teachers considering opening their own school or publishing their own materials, and leading professionals in Japan’s ELT community.
The Kyushu Convention is a grassroots effort to bring hundreds of teachers together for a fun all-day professional development event by English Teachers in Japan and Language Teaching Professionals.
