William Morris, an influential English artist from over a century ago, once said, “Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.” This principle has since inspired many to reevaluate their daily lives. Among them is Makoto Kagoshima, a Fukuoka-based artist, who is dedicated to enriching the quality of life through his creations. His premiere large-scale exhibition, drawing national and international interest, showcases around 200 items including ceramics adorned with flora and fauna motifs. It also features approximately 100 collaborative pieces with brands from around the world, alongside an intimate look into Kagoshima’s everyday life through multimedia presentations and exhibits.
