The architectural tour series “MAT” by FAF (Fukuoka Architecture Foundation, a non-profit organization), which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, introduces a wide range of excellent modern and contemporary architecture in Fukuoka. In this special edition of MAT, three buildings that have led the urban landscape with their distinctive appearance are introduced in an open house format.
1. Bank of Fukuoka Head Office (2-13-1 Tenjin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka)
2. Tenjin Building (2-12-1 Tenjin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka)
3. ACROS Fukuoka (1-1-1 Tenjin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka)
A short lecture on highlights and points of interest will be given in advance of the tour, after which visitors are free to tour at their leisure within the time allotted. Some places that are not usually open to the public will be open to the public on this tour.
