Held on the fourth Saturday of each month at Maizuru Park, this market focuses on products and activities that are gentle on both people and the environment. Set on Sannomaru Square, near the Ohori Park side, it offers a relaxed setting where visitors can meet producers and makers while browsing food, household goods and handmade items.
The September edition features 14 vendors, with produce from Itoshima, naturally grown crops, pesticide-free tea, koji-based prepared foods, rice-flour and gluten-free baked goods, tea, honey, handmade accessories and other everyday items.
There will also be booths offering gut-health exercises and bodywork, adding a wellness element to the market. Surrounded by greenery, it is an easy stop to combine with a weekend walk through Maizuru and Ohori parks.
Tips: Bring a reusable bag and allow time to browse, as many stalls are run directly by the people who make or grow what they sell.
