Admire the 1920s-themed illustrations of Fukuoka-based artist Ihanai in this exhibition titled “Moga’s Fashion Illustration by IHANAI”. During the Taisho period, 1920s fashion from Paris became popular in Japan and Japanese women who emulated this fashion were known as “Moga” (short for ‘modern girl’). This became a fashion transition point as well as a symbol for social progress of Japanese women at the time. Travel back in time to 100 years before with Ihanai’s work at the historical building Kihinkan Hall.
