At this 500-year-old festival, approximately 10,000 lanterns light up the city from sunset. See Japan’s tallest lantern tower (25 meters tall), children carrying floats around the Ekumae Town area, a yukata contest and dance performances (including hula dance, belly dance and Tahitian dance). Each night, there is a firework display featuring around 2,000 fireworks (21:00~21:30).
