Nepal Festival in Fukuoka first began as part of efforts by Fukuoka-based international exchange students to initiate the cultural exchange with the local community. It has since turned into a well-established festival. Nepal Festival Fukuoka 2019 is organized by Non-Resident Nepali Association Kyushu, Fukuoka Nepal Society and Nepali volunteer groups. The two-day gathering will give visitors the chance to experience authentic Nepali food, see traditional Nepali music and dance performances, and browse for Nepali accessories and miscellaneous goods. There will also be a free health camp organized by Nepal Japan Friendship Lions Club, as well as tourism information on Nepal.
