The Nepal Festival serves as a vibrant showcase of cultural exchange between Nepal and Japan. Celebrated in Fukuoka, home to Japan’s largest Nepalese population and its most established Nepalese community, this event has been an annual tradition since 2010, marking its 11th edition this year. The festival is a testament to the rich cultural tapestry of Nepal, brought to life by Nepalese students and residents living in Fukuoka. Attendees can look forward to a diverse array of offerings, including stalls selling authentic Nepalese cuisine and handicrafts, captivating performances of ethnic dances and music, as well as exhibitions of art and tourist information. A highlight of the festival is the opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in Nepalese culture through a free saree wearing experience, ensuring a day filled with the spirit and traditions of Nepal.
