Onigiri Making World Record Attempt in Chikugo

START: Oct 28, 2017 END: Oct 28, 2017

An attempt to break the world record for the most number of people simultaneously making rice balls will take place this weekend. The current record of 1,621 people was set in July 2017. The community building exercise is being organized by the Junior Chamber International Yamato, an organization that aims to create a better society through the principals of training, service, and friendship, and will be held in the Chikugo area. Rice planted and harvested by local children will be used to create the onigiri. Organizers are hoping for 2,000 people to join their record breaking attempt. They have not yet reached their target, so make sure to apply online if you are interested in getting involved!
