Want to go to the countryside on a relaxing onsen getaway but don’t have the time or means of transport? Look no further than Tenjin, as today (12/10) the onsen come to you! The Aso Onsen-kyo Yugomori Festival takes place today in Elgala Passage between the two Daimaru buildings. Five onsen from around Kyushu will showcase their hot-springs in the form of hand-spas, including Uchinomaki Onsen from Aso City, Nagayu Onsen from Takeda city and more. Local mascot characters such as Kumamon from Kumamoto Prefecture and Oita Prefectures’s Mejiron are also performing on stage. The event runs from 11:30 ~ 17:00 today so don’t miss out on the chance to get an onsen experience in the middle of the city!
