On November 3, Culture Day, a joint tea ceremony will be held, bringing together eight tea schools active in Fukuoka: Omotesenke, Urasenke, Nanbo-ryu, Sohen-ryu, Dai Nihon Chado Gakkai, Enshu-ryu, Kogi Chado Yabunouchi-ryu, and Omotesenke Fuhaku-ryu. This annual event, now in its 56th year, provides an accessible introduction to tea culture for everyone—from beginners and children to travelers—no formal attire required. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 9:00 am at booths located at the main gate of the Ohori Park Japanese Garden and within Gokoku Shrine.
