The 33rd Kurume Kasuri workshops in Chikugo will be open for viewing at the beginning of next month. The event aims to raise awareness about traditional handicrafts. Seven studios in the area will be open to the public, offering major discounts by selling clothes and accessories at the cost of production. Visitors will can participate in workshops and a walking tour around the city. Lunch boxes (bento), locally-produced goods, such as ceramics and cutlery can be bought at the Kumano-ku Community Center. Free shuttle bus and free bike rental also available.
