Rice Terraces Fire Festival
The Toho-mura rice terraces are ranked amongst Japan’s top 100 most scenic and when the lights of 1,200 handmade torches reflect upon the freshly-planted terraces, the sight is simply spectacular! Browse local product stalls for foods and souvenirs and watch various stage events including taiko drum and ocarina performances. Don’t forget to bring a flashlight for walking in unlit areas! (Entering the rice paddies and footpaths are prohibited.)
