A new cultural festival is set to debut in Ropponmatsu, a Fukuoka neighborhood with a distinct character. Once home to a Kyushu University campus and a vibrant student scene, the area now combines modern touches with traditional residential charm. It’s also known for its specialty shops, including cafés, galleries, and confectioneries. Over 16 days, 24 local venues will host exhibitions and sales by artists and creators, with participating restaurants offering special menus. Look for white cones with logos marking the locations, and take the opportunity to discover the deeper essence of “Ropponmatsu Culture” as you explore.
