Whether you’re interested in Japanese traditional culture, cooking or dance, there’s something for you at the second Sakura Itoshimatsuri. There will be mochitsuki (mochi pounding) by the local fire brigade, a live cooking performance by Michelin-star chef Mikizo Hashimoto, a musical performance by folk instrument music group Asien (Japanese, Korean, and Chinese folk instruments), Japanese and Balinese dance, an ancient martial arts demonstration, a taiko performance and food and drink booths. You can also view works produced by the artists at Studio Kura. There are also fun workshops on offer! Free parking available.
