This prestigious international rugby tournament for high school students is held in Fukuoka every year during Golden Week. Schools from overseas are invited to represent their country in this competition, and usually each team is among the five top-ranked high school teams in their country. The venue is open to everyone! There will be free bus service between JR Akama Station and Global Arena every 30 min. from 8:30. Watch men’s and women’s rugby matches and cheer for your favorites. Children and adults alike can dive, tackle, and do other rugby moves at the Rugby Park. Watch bagpipe performances from world champions, the George Watson’s College Pipe Band, too. Have your fill of strawberry-themed food at the Ichigo Fair, and stalls by Munakata shops and restaurants will serve karaage, yakisoba, curry rice, and more.
