This annual international rugby tournament for high school students returns during Golden Week. This year, 16 boys’ teams (including 6 from overseas) and 8 girls’ teams (including 4 from overseas) will compete. National champions Toin Gakuen from Kanagawa, along with selected teams from Kyushu—Higashi Fukuoka, Saga Technical, and Nagasaki Hokuyodai—will face off against teams from rugby powerhouses such as Australia, New Zealand, and England. A highlight is the friendly match held before the finals on May 5, featuring mixed teams made up of selected players from all participating schools.
