Shiraito Falls, a 24-meter high waterfall in Fukuoka Prefecture, is famous for its scenic beauty and is known as a power spot. The Yamame fishing and somen noodles event begins during the Golden Week every year. During the festival, a serving of somen noodles is given for each round of Yamame fishing. For ¥2,500 per fishing rod, you can rent fishing gear and catch up to 4 fish. Even if you don’t catch any, you can receive up to 3 fish as a gift, so no need to worry. Moreover, the caught Yamame fish can be grilled with salt for ¥150 per fish. At the on-site restaurant “Shiki no Chaya,” you can enjoy Yamame dishes and somen noodles.
