Shuntaro Tanikawa, a leading poet of Japan, is not only a translator but also a scriptwriter, having created over 200 picture books in collaboration with various painters and photographers. The exhibition highlights about 20 of these picture books, showcasing original illustrations, animations that bring the illustrations and words to life, readings, sounds, and large-scale scrolls, as well as newly commissioned installation works. At 92 years old, Shuntaro Tanikawa continues to explore the expressive possibilities of images and words.
