Snake Skin Distributed as Lucky Charm at Fukuoka Zoo

START: Nov 28, 2015 END: Nov 28, 2015

Tickets for the Year-End Jumbo Lottery went on sale on Nov. 25, and Fukuoka City Zoo is distributing a very special good luck charm: shed snake skin from an albino Burmese python. In Japan, snakes are a traditional symbol of money and wealth, associated with mythical snake gods such as Ugajin (god of harvest and fertility) and Benzaiten (goddess of all that flows). Keep the snake skin in your wallet for good luck! The skin will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and there are only 100 pieces available. The python who so generously donated his skin will be displayed during the event – you may even get to pet him!
