Discover the history and culture of Nokonoshima on a hands-on walking tour centered around the island’s traditional Shikagaki deer fences—designated cultural assets built during the Edo period. Participants will visit key sites while enjoying interactive experiences and collecting original souvenirs along the way.
Stops include Shirahige Shrine, where visitors receive a postcard designed like a traditional shrine seal (goshuin); Eifukuji Temple, where participants can create their own original magnet; and Noko Museum, which offers a Nambō Ryū matcha tea experience alongside exhibits on local history and folk culture. The tour concludes at Sora Mame Café, where participants receive a small gift (a mikan or sweet rice cake) after completing a short survey.
Advance registration is required by email or application form (maximum 100 participants).
