After closing for over a month for renovations, Hakataza Theater is reopening with a bang! This hotly anticipated adaptation of the popular manga (320 million copies sold) sees One Piece’s beloved characters given a kabuki twist. You can expect to see actors flying through the air in wire harnesses, real fire and water, and quick costume changes. Leading authorities in both kabuki and One Piece are on board: popular kabuki actor Ennosuke Ichikawa IV is taking on the lead role of Luffy, and Eiichiro Oda, the writer of One Piece, is supervising the adaptation.
