Takako Takeuchi, a contemporary artist from Fukuoka now based in Sweden, explores the theme of musubi—a traditional Japanese concept of connection—through textile-based works. Recently, she has expanded into painting, creating mixed media pieces with acrylics and gold threads inspired by the fleeting beauty of natural light in Sweden.
Takeuchi will showcase ten new works and a small installation at “Maebaru Art & Book Street 2024: Encounters,” a cultural event held in the Maebaru area of Itoshima. Additionally, she will participate in an artist talk on November 23 at 4:00 PM at the Open Community Space Minnano, a short walk from the exhibition venue. No reservations are required for the talk.
