This year’s Valentine’s fair at Hakata Hankyu features, what else, cacao! The essential ingredient of chocolate. The Cacao Wonderland is dedicated to chocolate lovers and chocoholics. It celebrates St. Valentine’s Day in an expansive space on the 8th floor, inside the Event Hall on the 7th floor, Media Stage on the 1st floor and the basement floor. Newly introduced cacao-related goods and chocolates using Asian-produced cacao are two of the highlights. In addition to bean-to-bar items, special boxes and packages will fill the showcases. Here are just a few: chocolate-coated Amaou strawberries (picked the same morning in Asakura, Fukuoka) by the only Atelier de Godiva in Kyushu, promising Taiwanese newcomer and award-winning bean-to-bar manufacturer Fuwan Chocolate, and other elegant pieces of bonbons from different countries around the world. The event will present many qualities of chocolate, such as visual attractiveness, flavor, and impact.
