Celebrating its 70th anniversary, Kyushu’s only professional orchestra, the Kyushu Symphony Orchestra, will hold its annual New Year’s Concert. The concert will be conducted by Fuminori Shinozaki, a violinist and special concertmaster of the NHK Symphony Orchestra. The program includes a vibrant selection of 13 pieces suitable for the New Year, such as Johann Strauss II’s “The Beautiful Blue Danube” and Fritz Kreisler’s “Liebesfreud (Love’s Joy),” performed as a violin solo by Fuminori Shinozaki.
