Following the philosophy of the art of Japanese tea ceremony, which is to welcome and serve all guests equally, an exhibition and outdoor tea ceremony will be held at Dazaifu Tenmangu. With a concept of turning the entire shrine building into a tea garden, the event welcomes all guests to an exhibition of historical items selected by Chiaki Wada at the shrine’s treasure hall while serving a bowl of traditional matcha tea under the autumn sky at former Azumaya (tea shop.) *Tea ceremonies are available on weekends only.
