The nationally touring ULTRAMAN EXHIBITION makes its Kyushu debut in Kitakyushu. Marking the 60th anniversary of the Ultraman franchise, this large-scale exhibition traces the history of more than 50 productions, from Ultra Q to the latest titles, through immersive displays, three-dimensional exhibits, and video installations.
The exhibition introduces the heroes and stories of each era, from the original Ultraman and the Heisei productions to the New Generation Ultraman titles. Highlights include large-screen video presentations, displays bringing together generations of Ultraman heroes, and photo spots that allow visitors to step into the world of Ultraman.
The venue, Space LABO, is a science museum known for its hands-on exhibits exploring science and space. Its expansive galleries provide the setting for immersive installations that make full use of the venue’s scale. Kitakyushu also has a connection to the franchise as the setting of the 2002 film Ultraman Cosmos: The First Contact, and special programs exclusive to the Kitakyushu venue are planned.
