Flower Picnic, a spring tradition, takes place at Uminonakamichi Seaside Park, where seasonal flowers bloom throughout the year. In spring’s mild weather, colorful blossoms come into season one after another across the park.
From late March, around 33,000 tulips, 1,600 cherry trees, and 23,000 Iceland poppies begin to bloom. In early April, a hillside of one million nemophila turns the landscape a vivid blue. With its impressive scale, Uminonakamichi Seaside Park is also an ideal spot for cycling and picnicking with the family.
