After the disastrous rain experienced in Fukuoka’s Yame area in July last year, Hoshinomura, Yame, will hold an event Mar. 10~17, to express their gratitude and to show the recovery made. On Mar, 10, a rite of burning sticks on a bonfire will be held in the grounds of the Aso Shrine. On Mar. 16, 1000 paper lanterns that have been decorated by local school children will be floated on Lake Aso from 18:00. On Mar. 17, wadaiko drumming and dance performances will entertain visitors. Buses will leave Tenjin on the Mar. 16 and 17 from in front of the Nippon Bank, Tenjin and travel to Yame via the Chikushi Exit of JR Hakata Station. Bus tickets will be ¥3,000 return.
