Yanagawa Kotatsu Bune

In Yanagawa’s tranquil canal district, winter brings the seasonal kotatsu boat experience. Passengers ride a traditional donko-bune for about one hour, accompanied by the boatman’s stories and songs while cruising through the town’s network of waterways. From December, boats are fitted with heated kotatsu tables with hibachi braziers, offering a warm way to enjoy Yanagawa’s unique winter scenery. Note: Routes change Feb 16–25 due to canal cleaning.
