The Dazaifu Brand Creation Council (Dazaifu Brand Sozo Kyogikai太宰府ブランド創造協議会) will hold its third annual “Yukata de Dazaifu” event, promoting Dazaifu as a traditional Japanese city and the perfect place to wear your yukata! Everyone is encouraged to visit Dazaifu wearing a yukata during the six day festival. While you’re there, join the stamp rally (7/20 ~ 7/25, 13:00~) by visiting participating shops and spots around Dazaifu City. Collect three stamps and enter the lucky draw, with prizes ranging from tickets to see the SoftBank Hawks, tickets to Fukuoka Tower, and pairs of lunch tickets for local restaurant “Raputa”. The stamp rally course map is available online. Many stores in Dazaifu are also offering discounts during the event period, and to top it all off, there’s a Yukata contest on 7/24 (Wed.) and 7/25 (Thu.) at the summer festival!
