Fools Gold

In 2017, Tsubasa Kabashima, a DJ and former employee of the famous club Kieth Flack, opened Fools Gold facing Yakuin Mutsukado to provide a spot where people can enjoy music casually. The shop name is from a Stone Roses song, and because the band’s logo is a lemon, the menu features drinks made with homemade lemon syrup. A mecca for local culture, the shop is decorated with art by local artists like KYNE and Toyameg, not to mention a shirt worn by former Smiths frontman Morrissey when he played in Fukuoka. Stop by and enjoy a drink while LPs spin in the background.

Menu (tax incl.; no charge): Guinness (pint) ¥980, Kirin Ichiban Shibori draft (350 ml) ¥600, vodka lemon squash ¥650, fresh lemon sour ¥600, homemade lemonade & vodka ¥650, gin & tonic ¥650, fish & chips ¥850, anchovy potato salad ¥480, karaage (Japanese fried chicken) ¥650

*Foreign language menu: English / Credit cards accepted / Reservations possible / Smoking permitted
